While Brackenridge Field Lab is not usually open to the public, the field station does host Science Under the Stars, the free, monthly lecture series designed to entertain and educate citizen scientists of all ages. These lectures provide University of Texas graduate students with a chance to share their research interests with an audience and are a fun, exciting way to engage young biologists outside the classroom.
Other opportunities for K-12 students are offered at BFL as staff availability allows.
The field station is also available as a research space for students and faculty with permission from the field station’s director. To learn more about how to gain access to lab spaces at BFL, please read our User Guidelines.
